Henry G. Bonebrake


Lieutenant Henry G. Bonebrake was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Bonebrake received the countrys highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his action during the Battle of Five Forks in Virginia onApril 1865. He was honored with the award onMay 1865.

Bonebrake was born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania to Henry and Anna Stewart Bonebrake . Before the war he attended schools in the Washington Township and then became a teacher.
